Mark Zuckerberg has donated the huge amount of $ 100 million to the Newark education system.
Public schools will benefit from the donation, and this is the first step for Zuckerberg’s foundation.
It is a foundation that has a sole intention to improve the US education system. The donation will be officially announced on Friday. Zuckerberg will be a guest on Oprah’s show, where he will talk about this generous project.
A lot of people say that this is nothing more than a PR move for the Facebook founder. Being worth $ 6.9 billion, Zuckerberg can certainly afford it. The reason, allegedly, is the fact that a new movie, called “The Social Network”, about Facebook and its founder, is about to make its way into movie theaters. And it depicts Zuckerberg in a not-so-favorable light.
