How would you like to transform your t-shirt into a bright and vivacious message board that will let the world know everything that you intend to share with it in a ‘blingy’ fashion? That is precisely what interactive clothing company Cutecircuit along with Scotch whiskey distillers Ballantine’s decided to roll out and so we have the world’s very first programmable T-Shirt. The best part is that this is apparently not some electronic device which you need to take great care of. The shirt has been designed to be as comfortable as normal wear and you can wash it and wear it just like any other.
Of course, the makers of the Tee say that they have incorporated a camera, microphone and accelerometer in it as well along with some speakers. For starters, music booming out your shirt might not be the coolest thing to do and while having your own ‘superhero them’ playing out as you walk into a party might sound cool; it just looks a tad bit too geeky. But the basic design of the Tee is to ensure that your life on social networking sites is streamed out aloud. You can display Twitter feeds, snapshots, Facebook messages and everything else using the specially designed iOS App for the T-Shirt.

Well, the motto here is pretty much along the lines of “Don’t say it, just wear it!” and while many of us might not be comfortable with sharing everything, at least you can sport cool messages and share your one liners with the world. My own first message on it would be something akin to “The world was so much better when Apple and Blackberry were fruits and my Tee just sported coffee stains”. What would be your programmable T-shirt saying? Share with us…
